any one know where there are any public shooting pits?

i just got my glock 19 and have an wasr 10 and mosin nagant on the way so as u can imagine im itching to go shoot them, anyone know where there are any public pits or ranges it be great if u could tell me

oh yea i live in bangor so the closer to bangor the better

When I lived in Old Town a number of years ago we used to drive out to shoot at some gravel pits out on the Paper Mill access roads. Lots of people shoot out there as well. We'd go to one pit in particular next to an old WWII landing strip. The National Guard has used that area for training in the past, if I remember right.
